Sony Pictures have uploaded the full scene from the new heist movie Baby Driver to YouTube.
The opening sequence, which contains virtually no dialogue, introduces us to Baby (Ansel Elgort) – the skilled getaway driver who constantly listens to his iPod to drown out the tinnitus that has plagued him since childhood. We’re then treated to watching his red Subaru Impreza WRX STI tear its way around the streets of Atalanta to the soundtrack of “Bellbottoms” by The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
We have it on good authority that that every driving stunt in the film was performed for real – without the help of any CGI – either by stunt driver Jeremy Fry (who also worked on Drive, Batman V Superman and John Wick: Chapter 2) or by Ansel Elgort himself, who went through months of intensive driving training prior to shooting.
